Hi Annemarie I'm Sue -59 and a teacher. I was diagnosed just over a year ago and take mtx, hydroxy and folic acid plus a stomach protector. I've been lucky and have been doing OK, apart from the odd short flare-up, usually when I forget to pace myself. I'm glad you are doing well - that soert of news is always cheering. Keep posting Sue

Hi Anne-marie My real name is Julie. I live with my Partner David on a farm in North Devon and have one daughter and two step daughters and step son. Life is busy well it was until this dratted RA slowed me up. I have been trying to fight the pain and stiffness and tiredness for quite some time, at least 2 years, believing that my problem was down to my weight and lifestyle as my GP suggested! I joined the forum a few weeks ago following my diagnosis in October this year. I have just this week started to take Methotrexate, with co-dydramol, ibuprofen and stomach protector. It was a big thing for start taking the MTX as it felt like I had to finally admit it was RA (after years of mis diagnosis). I was very tearful but always feel better when I come on here and check the posts. All the good people on here have really helped me through the past few weeks. Hope you had a good christmas and happy new year. Keep posting. Love Julie x Good advice is best followed by the art of listening
